The Restricted Section was a concept we built for a design community competition. The challenge was to create something with a fully realised world behind it. We took the idea of a forbidden library meets dark web marketplace and pushed it as far as it would go. Something that felt genuinely dark and considered, editorial and unsettling, like you shouldn’t be there but you can’t look away. We came second. We’re still not over it.

Project Details
A concept built for a design community competition that placed second. The brief was open. The world we chose wasn’t. We took the idea of a forbidden library meets dark web marketplace and built it into a fully realised digital experience. Dark, editorial, and just unsettling enough to make you feel like you shouldn’t be there. But you stay anyway.
Project Overview
A concept built around one idea. Forbidden knowledge has a home. The Restricted Section is a fully realised dark digital world that makes you feel like you’ve found something you weren’t supposed to find.
